Grading:
290 points total.
4 On-line exams, each worth 50 pts.
9 Discussions, PBLs, and Labs, each worth 10 pts.
Syllabus:
Lectures 1-2 will focus on transmission genetics.
Lectures 3-5 will focus on model organisms (Yeast, Arabidopsis, Mice, Flies, Fish, Bacteria).
Lectures 6-16 will focus on molecular genetics.
Lectures 17-18 will focus on genetic linkage.
Lectures 19-20 will focus on genetic screens.
Discussions 1-4 will discussions of literature.
PBLs 1-3 will be problem based learning based on an assigned case.
Labs 1-2 will be instruction in R.
