About your instructor
My name is Zoe (pronounced Zoh-ee) Fisher and I'm a librarian at Pierce College--for a few more weeks, anyway!
I became a librarian at Pierce College in Fall 2012. Last month, I was offered a job at the University of Colorado in Denver, and I'm in the process of moving there. My new job in Denver starts July 18--but don't worry, I will still be teaching this course all the way through the end of the quarter. Officially, my time with Pierce comes to a close on August 30. I'm sad to leave Pierce but I'm excited about this new opportunity, and I'm grateful that I can share my last quarter as a Pierce professor with you.
I've had a busy summer so far! I eloped at Owen Beach in Point Defiance Park on June 28. My husband, Iain, is a visiting professor at the University of Puget Sound. Our dog Charlie was there, too!
When I'm not eloping and moving across the country, I like to read books (of course!), write, ride my bike, go hiking, do hot yoga, and watch silly TV like "Beat Bobby Flay" on the Food Network.
I am a very flexible and understanding instructor--just stay in communication with me! Even though I'm busy, I always have time to answer a Canvas message or chat via Skype. I look forward to getting to know you this quarter.
