This course explores poverty and inequality in the U.S., their consequences, and policies to address them. As a hybrid, or blended course, it combines online and in-person components. Each week, prior to the Monday in-person meeting, students must view a set of video lectures and complete associated quizzes. Class time on Monday will be devoted to a class discussion of the material and its implications for public policy. Most of your grade will be based upon written policy memos related to the video lectures and class discussions.
